Getting In Touch with Things that Hurt and Speaking Truth

I have often said that I think that part of the reason I regained almost 200 pounds after fighting it off ounce by ounce is that I did not open the doors and windows of my life and allow all the emotional junk that I have been stuffing (while I stuffed my feelings, emotions, and hurts down deep and stuffed my face and tummy to calm and comfort) for 51 years to be blown free! Lately I have decided it's time to open the doors and allow a fresh wind to blow! We are imperfect creatures and we all struggle. Blogging has given me the gift of the freedom to say so!  I am owning my story and speaking my truth! There are a lot of tears involved in the process but I think it will be worth the pain!

Life is Sacred is a story of my journey through date rape, guilt, infertility, redemption, pregnancy, loss, hope and joy.

K is for Kids is a story of the struggles of parenting and loving even when I'm angry, hurting, disappointed, and the hope for a better tomorrow.

All Kinds of Insecurities is just me pouring my heart out about blogging and the things I wonder in the process.

There are bound to be more to come. I will try to remember to link them up here since they are a part of my journey to health and healing!

Thanks for walking with me!

It's all good.

I wrote a longer post today on Beth: A Work In Progress and it pretty much wore me out so I'm going to ask you to hop on over there if you need your daily dose of Beth. :)

I'll also copy & paste (horrors!) the text of an e-mail I sent to family and friends assuring them that I am alive and well. See you tomorrow!

Thanks for praying! I'm not ready for jumping jacks or marathons yet but a few hours of sleep (and some happy-pills) and I'm feeling better! A bit easier to believe now that I could be ready to roll in 2 weeks or less. Pain was pretty bad when I first came to in recovery so they put some Demerol through my IV before taking it out and sending me home. Getting into the house was fairly easy. I came in and got settled in my chair but never could get really comfortable so I decided to try the bed! Bliss! (sorta) And we discovered that with some support from Bert and by rolling to the very edge of the right side I can get out without hurting my knee. As much as I love my recliner (and I do) it is a relief to know I can sleep in my bed! I just may get stuck there if Bert goes anywhere. :)
