New scale

I took the non-functional scale back to Target this afternoon and purchased a new one. Didn't get any bells and whistles because my primary desire was to have one that was "high capacity." I knew, from weighing in at the doctor's office about 2 weeks ago, that I started this go round at roughly 415. This afternoon my new scale says I am at 399.4. At first that number really bugged me but then I reminded myself of a couple of facts:
  1. I am back out of the 400s (which is a major accomplishment) and I don't plan to EVER return!
  2. I have lost roughly 15 pounds in 2 weeks in spite of the fact that my endocrine system is messed up, I do not feel well, I haven't exercised, my eating has not been perfect, and we travelled last weekend (which always makes me gain)!
  3. The journey of 200 pounds starts with a single ounce!
  4. EVERY ounce lost is a victory and sure as shooting beats one gained!
  5. It's 5:30 p.m. and I may weigh 5 pounds less tomorrow morning!
  6. My doctors will both be thrilled with my progress
  7. etc.
Shots in my knees were not a particularly pleasant experience but it was tolerable. If they help it will be worth it!

Really not feeling good so I'm going to go relax for a bit. Talk to y'all later! :)
