Tuesday
Still feeling pretty rotten. I ache everywhere. I'm beyond tired. Killer headache that just won't quit. And just for fun ... dizzy spells! Not really anything I can do about it so I'll just muddle through. Which would be much easier in my bed or recliner than it is at my desk (which is buried under application mountain)!
I've heard that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. I don't believe I am headed there (thanks entirely to the grace of God) but I am using the same pavement on my personal path. When I went home yesterday I truly intended to make a smoothie for my dinner. I had Joe come pick me up from work and when I got home I took a pain pill and a muscle relaxant and laid down on my bed, with HGTV, for an hour. When I got up I decided to put a pan of Hot Wings in the oven. So I ate too may hot wings with way too much blue cheese dressing. And then since I'd already blown it I had chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream for dessert. Not going to get anywhere that way!
This morning I made myself a mixed berry smoothie for breakfast. Had a pear, a half ounce of pretzels, and an ounce of cheese for a snack. Doing pretty well there. The I had most of a sleeve of crackers (whole grain at least) and about 6 ounces of Colby Jack for lunch. Guess it's going to be another smoothie for dinner or I'll be way over the calorie intake goal ... AGAIN!
Seriously hoping I feel better and can pull myself together by Monday. I know eating wrong doesn't fix a darned thing but it is hard enough for me to BE good when I feel good! And it's pretty doggone close to impossible when I don't! Oh well ... one day at a time!
